Analysts predict that the key technology for western Europe will be mobile WiMAX, although once again many caution against over-hype. ABI Research says "mobile WiMAX ... will compete with or complement cellular technologies depending on who is offering the service." ABI predicts that cellular operators will offer the bulk of WiMAX services because they can "afford the licensed spectrum required to offer good service, in addition to the resources and experience to market these services effectively."
